So here are the plans this project is based on. As you may be able to tell, our house has very few 90 degree angles! The room shown to the left is what was the three-season porch, which we are transforming into an all-season room. The room to the right is our dining room. The rooms are now separated by a sliding glass door, which will be removed during the construction. From the dining room, a person will step down two steps into the new room. The dining room and new room will share a granite countertop -- in the dining room side the countertop will be table-height, and in the new room it will be barstool height.
